I like Keith Hennessey.  In the 30 minutes or so I have each day to check my email and catch up on news, I don't always get a full picture of politics or current events.  Since my time is limited I try to get the main points from sources that are informed and knowledgeable.  So much of what happens in government (and other wise) is driven by money and where money is going, hense I like to listen to someone who is informed and knowledgeable about money.  Keith Hennessey is an economist and former economic adviser to President Bush; he fits the bill. This is what I like about Keith Hennessey: Although he sides with one party (Republican) he is so good at boiling problems down to the main issues and in large measure ignoring the partisan arguments and blame games.  What a great strength it is to fairly represent both sides on an issue.  I love how objective he is and how not emotionally-charged he is, especially compared to so many other people in Washingto...

So, when I try to understand politics, everyone seems to be very biased one way or the other.  Hennessey is clearly a republican but is less biased from many other people and I think he writes/explains political and economic ideas clearly and better than other people I've listened to or read. http://www.manhattandeclaration.org/home.aspx Hi folks, Trevor shared this link with me a few weeks ago and I thought I'd pass it along.  It's a declaration written by  prominent Christian clergy, ministry leaders, and scholars in defense of the sanctity of life, traditional marriage, and religious liberty.  It's kind of like the family proclamation, except it's longer, and it's not a revelation...  But it has similar ideas to the FP as well as Elder Oaks' devotional address at BYU-I this past year about religious freedom and Elder Nelson's address to young adults in Massachusetts last month about the connection between church and state .  Read through it and see what you think.  Could be a good conversation topic with your friends who belong do different churches. PS- Elder Wickman addressed the J. Reuben Clark Law School Society back in February about religion in the public square as well.  Just came across it.
