Picture Update

I haven't posted anything in a long time. Here are a few things that we've been up to lately. We went to the the tulip festival.

We also went to Meleah's creative dance class recital. All of the three year olds seemed to have a great time. Their teacher told a story about waking up in a field and playing all day and she included 4 or 5 minutes worth of details and then they all went back to "sleep" again. I think my favorite part was when Meleah was trying to do a side step and did jumping jacks instead. :) And poor Aaron was not feeling good. He was really well behaved though and sat quietly through all 6 or 7 class performances. Nate kept the grandparents company up high with us while Kristen and Mark took pictures down below.

Yesterday, Matt and I took Kimmy to the MTC. She needed to run a few errands in the morning (a costly few errands). Kimmy packed while I made grilled cheese and tomato soup. And then we were off. We pulled in to the MTC and there were missionaries with those bright yellow vests directing traffic. Each vehicle is directed to a spot along the curb to pull over and get everything out and say goodbye. There were also missionaries to escort all of the new arrivals to their dorms to settle in. We didn't really know how it would work but it was really smooth and fast which is probably best.

We also have been doing some yard work. One of the first things we did when we got home from San Diego was cut the grass. This is what we found. I don't know if you can see it or not, but the entire lawn was covered in glistening thin little webs. It was kinda cool but also kinda not. It means there are little things crawling everywhere. We have been trying to get the weeds out and trim all of the beautiful plants and ground cover that Marva, the previous owner, took meticulous care of. Once we've got it cleaned up a little more we want to invite her back over (she's in her 80's) so that she can tell us what everything is and how we should take care of it. Oh, we also planted tomato plants. I'm excited for those to start producing.
