The cast

It goes up around her knee but not any higher.  Aunt Mimi mentioned today that we need to gather signatures on it.  Maybe we'll go for a walk tomorrow when all the neighborhood kids are walking home from school.  I can think of about a dozen kids who would love to sign her cast.


I tried taking pictures the other morning before Matt went to work.  Although I took a bunch they didn't turn out very well because Madeleine was either very focused on window/blinds or on getting my attention to pick her up (she moves her arms up and down to let me know she wants to be picked up, although it can mean other things too).  These next three pictures were the best I could do: 

Hmm, those blinds look like they'd be really fun to pull.  How can I get over there?

I know!  Hey mom, MOM!  Yes, you, pick me up!

"Pick me up!  Pick me up!  Pick me up!"  (I picked her up.)

Capitol Reef

We went to Capitol Reef National Park a few weeks ago and did some hiking while we were there.  It was a short but pleasant trip.  I'd love to go back sometime when the orchards are ready to harvest and take some fruit home with us.  It'd be nice to do some more hiking there too. Can you tell where we went to school?  It seems like we end up with an inordinate amount of BYU clothing in our bags whenever we go on vacation. She kept reaching for my sun glasses and so I finally handed them to her.  She was very pleased. Playing in the hotel room.  Matt really wanted to do a hike in some narrows and so we did this one.  It was really wide here, at the beginning.  We went a mile or so in and the canyon walls were only about 15 or 20 feet apart from each other.
