Matt's hair...

...has been cut. This is what it looked like before. Oh, by the way, we measured it at the top and it was 5 inches long! It's shaggy but it didn't look 5 inches shaggy. Anyways, here are a couple of before pictures.

This was taken the next morning after, when he'd showered and made it look nice. He normally gets a two on the sides when he goes to a barber shop, so that's what I did too. But he said that they usually leave it a little bit longer on top. (It was the longest setting I could get with clippers.) Next time I'm going to try using scissors to do the top. Also we talked afterwards about how to blend when you scissor cut the top. It'll probably be six months before I'm aloud to try again, but I'm already looking forward to it.

    Poor Matt! I did that to Simeon once. Thank goodness doesn't require anything special with his haircuts. Just shaving cream and a razor get the job done. It's much easier that way. Maybe you could convince Matt to go that route :)

Capitol Reef

We went to Capitol Reef National Park a few weeks ago and did some hiking while we were there.  It was a short but pleasant trip.  I'd love to go back sometime when the orchards are ready to harvest and take some fruit home with us.  It'd be nice to do some more hiking there too. Can you tell where we went to school?  It seems like we end up with an inordinate amount of BYU clothing in our bags whenever we go on vacation. She kept reaching for my sun glasses and so I finally handed them to her.  She was very pleased. Playing in the hotel room.  Matt really wanted to do a hike in some narrows and so we did this one.  It was really wide here, at the beginning.  We went a mile or so in and the canyon walls were only about 15 or 20 feet apart from each other.
